Welcome to the Home of the Prince William County (PWC) Panthers Track & Field Club!

We are excited that you have chosen to visit us and learn how our organization supports the youth in our communities (Prince William, Stafford, Fredericksburg and surrounding areas).  Our organization offers quality training for youth in the sport of track and field with an opportunity to compete at an elite level while educating our athletes about the importance of healthy eating and being physically active.  We hope that you join our Panther Nation to take advantage of this program and the many levels of training and competition it offers.

PWC Panther’s mission is to teach rising young athletes the fundamental techniques of track and field, help develop running strength, balance, agility and endurance and to improve individual performance through comprehensive training and instruction.  Our organization is very successful in producing high-quality results on and off the track; and is considered one of the best in the region, state and nation!

Since the formation of the organization, PWC Panthers Track Club has grown and developed into one of Northern Virginia’s finest student-athlete running programs.  Our student-athletes have established national track and field records during the outdoor season with individuals advancing to the USATF and AAU Junior Olympic Championship holding National titles and receiving several ribbons and medals throughout the track and field season. Several High School athletes have received track and field scholarships with the training and referrals from the PWC Panther coaches and staff.

One of the toughest challenges that face any small organization dedicated to Youth is providing safe and quality services on a very limited budget. As with most small organizations, we have no permanent or established source of funding. We are financed primarily from registration fees and fundraisers. While we strive to keep our registration fees affordable and our fundraisers have historically been effective, obtaining donations and sponsor contributions are crucial factors in successfully fulfilling our initiative. As a result, it is imperative that we solicit financial support from those in the community who share our desire to help the area youth.

The AAU was founded in 1888 to establish standards and uniformity in amateur sports. During its early years, the AAU served as a leader in international sport representing the U.S. in the international sports federations. The AAU worked closely with the Olympic movement to prepare athletes for the Olympic Games. After the Amateur Sports Act of 1978, the AAU has focused its efforts into providing sports programs for all participants of all ages beginning at the grass roots level. The philosophy of "Sports for All, Forever," is shared by nearly 700,000 participants and over 150,000 volunteers.

Based in Indianapolis, USA Track & Field (USATF) is the National Governing Body for track and field, long-distance running, and race walking in the United States. USATF encompasses the world's oldest organized sports, the most-watched events of Olympic broadcasts, the number one high school and junior high school participatory sport, and more than 30 million adult runners in the United States.
