CLUB HISTORY

The Prince William County (PWC) Panthers Track & Field Club is a 501©3 not for profit organization that was founded in 2009.  The desire was to create an organization that promotes and encourages sport aged student-athletes and develop an environment that supports leadership, health, fitness, self-esteem, self-discipline and teamwork; while also promoting academic excellence and community involvement within a quality sports program.  The vision for the track club was to support, encourage and recognize all youth's athletic achievements, sportsmanship and character; and to contribute to the morale and enthusiasm of our athletes and our community.

PWC Panthers is an all-volunteer organization.  Members of our dedicated administrative and coaching staff volunteer 400+ hours each season.  Additionally, parents have contributed in fundraisers, participation on club committees, support for safety and logistic activities at track meets, and numerous other activities requested by the club leadership.  As a volunteer-based organization, all volunteers’ contribution in time, talent, and effort in our organization are invaluable and are key to positively impacting the youth of our community.

PWC Panthers success is based on a strong foundation of teamwork across the parents, the coaches, and the support staff.  By working together and supporting each other across the full spectrum of club activities, we promote a positive environment for our athletes to grow.  In order to ensure optimal success and team synchronization, PWC Panthers operate as a family.
